Loving One Another

"A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another" -John 13:34

The New Testament is full of “one another” passages that describe what community life looks like for followers of Jesus Christ who seek to walk in his footsteps. Below are some of the ways that we seek to build one another up in love.

Small Groups

If our Sunday Worship Services are the "front door" to life at Covenant Church, joining a small group is like coming right into the kitchen through the "back door". Intended to be warm, open, and interactive, small groups provide a space for building more intentional relationships with one another through prayer, discussion or bible study, and a snack or meal. We currently have 8 small groups meeting at various times and locations with different focuses so there is sure to be one that will fit your needs. Contact the church office or look for a list of our different groups at the Welcome Table in the Foyer on Sundays.

Men's & Women's Ministries

Organized women's ministries at Covenant include several weekly Bible Studies, monthly women's events, and an annual Women's Retreat. The men at Covenant also have a couple Bible Studies, as well as the very popular monthly Men's Breakfast, with an occasional Men's Retreat. There are also opportunities for service for both men and women in the various church ministry teams (ie. Households Ministries Team, Hospitality Team, Missions Team, Christian Ed. team, and others).

Check our events page here for more information on men's and women's ministry events.

Children's & Youth Ministries

Covenant Church provides infant and toddler nurseries, Sunday School classes for all ages, and a "Children's Church" during the Sermon for young children. See What To Expect for more information about these services.

Our Covenant Kids Ministry for ages 4-12 meets the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of the month from 6-7:15pm and is led by our Children's Ministry Coordinator. You can learn more about this group here.

Our Youth Group for grades 6th-12th meets the 1st and 3rd Fridays of the month from 6:30pm-8pm and is led by our Associate Pastor. You can get in touch with him with any questions here. To serve our youth, we organize regular fellowship events, plan trips to regional youth rallies, and encourage them to attend the summer camp ministry of our denomination, French Creek Bible Conference.

Music Ministry

Covenant Church is gifted with an extensive music ministry. It is very important to us that our music ministry always serves the worship of the entire congregation. To that end, we seek to utilize the considerable musical gifts of our members through worship teams, a small orchestra, adult and children's choirs, bell choirs, and special music. See one of the Pastors for more information. See our Special Music Policy here. Also, see Our Worship for more information about how and why we worship the way we do.

Library Ministry

Covenant Church maintains a carefully curated library off the lobby with topics ranging from devotional to doctrinal, as well as a section specifically for children. Please make sure to check out your books on the clipboard by the computer and return books within a reasonable time frame. For questions about the library, email our librarian.
